The Kansas Pediatric Foundation has had another big year with the announcement of our first Kansas Kids Fund – Pediatricians in Action grant recipients. The awardees have been using the funds to support a foster care volunteer fair in Wichita, a vaccination program working with local schools and the health department in Winfield, and an obesity program in Overland Park.
The Turn a Page. Touch a Mind.® (TAP-TAM) program continues to grow with 138 sites and more than 670 physicians and participating pediatric primary care providers throughout the state of Kansas. TAP-TAM has now put more than 1,080,000 books into the hands of Kansas kids since 2004!
The Kansas Pediatric Foundation strives to expand its reach to more children’s health initiatives throughout the state. Contributions to the Kansas Kids Fund will be used as directed by the KPF Board of Directors to fund projects in the areas of immunizations, early brain development, child safety, tobacco cessation, and more.
Your tax-deductible gift to the Kansas Pediatric Foundation before the end of the year will be matched, so it will have double the impact to help us grow!
