Kansas Breastfeeding Friendly Practices

The Kansas Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics (KAAP) has been busy training practices across the state to become “Breastfeeding Friendly”. Participating practices or clinics receive on-site education with free CME and a tool kit that includes a window cling, parent handouts, poster, and a flash drive with electronic resources.

The following sites have earned their Kansas Breastfeeding Friendly Practice Designation:

  • Children’s Mercy West Clinic
  • KU Department of Family Medicine, Kansas City

4 Stars

  • Pediatric Partners, PA, Overland Park
  • Heartland Primary Care, Lenexa
  • Morris and Hill Medical Clinic, Fredonia
  • Ashley Clinic, Chanute

Sites who have participated in the on-site training and are working on their designation:

  • Hutchinson Clinic Pediatrics, Hutchinson
  • Prairie Star Health Clinic, Hutchinson
  • Sunflower OBGYN, Winfield
