On February 12, 2019, KAAP members spent the day at the state capitol in Topeka to hear about important initiatives, provide child health education and meet with legislators. The primary focus of this Advocacy Day to educate about and provide support for the Family First Prevention Services Act which provides funding to services that can prevent children from entering foster care.
