The Kansas and Missouri Chapters of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) invite you to a reception for members, residents, and medical students to meet AAP President, Dr. Benjamin Hoffman, learn about his vision, share your input, and network with fellow members.
Benjamin D. Hoffman, M.D., FAAP, of Portland, Ore., has been voted AAP president-elect. Dr. Hoffman will take over as president on Jan. 1, 2024, following Sandy L. Chung, M.D., FAAP, of Fairfax, Va., who will serve as president in 2023.
Dr. Hoffman is a leading national expert and advocate in child safety. He is a professor of pediatrics at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) School of Medicine, medical director for OHSU’s Tom Sargent Safety Center, and director of the Oregon Center for Children and Youth with Special Health Needs. His wife Jane Kim-Hoffman, MD, FAAP, also works at OHSU with the Doernbecher Specialty Pediatrics Clinic.
