Still Having Immunization Administration Reimbursement Problems?
Many KAAP members have expressed concern about the new codes 90460 and 90461 which replace codes 90465 and 90466. The new codes are pay based on antigen components rather than injections. The new codes are felt to cover the costs of vaccine administration more fairly.
There have been problems with claims being rejected by third party payers, bundling of the codes into office visits, and claims using the codes being recognized but no fee schedules or payment methodologies in place.
If you are experiencing any problems, you need to make your voice heard. Please email KAAP at the address below and contact your Medicaid and/or 3rd party representatives to let them know your issues and how much this will adversely affect your practice/clinic.
